With the new AQUASPHERE collection, Hanhart is heralding a new era in its history. For the first time, the manufacturer from the Black Forest, which specializes in pilot's and motorsport watches, is presenting an independent dive watch series. With the first model, the new AQUASPHERE FreeFall Blue with a 42 mm diameter, the traditional brand wants to be measured against the best diving watches on the market. Fabio Tunno, the deepest German freediver in apnoea diving, has already successfully tested the watch at depth for months. The AQUASPHERE FreeFall Blue even mastered a dive to a depth of 110 meters without any problems. The Hanhart maxims apply above and below water: maximum functionality, ease of use, extraordinary precision and outstanding readability.
The AQUASPHERE FreeFall Blue is water-resistant up to 30 ATM or 30 bar (approx. 300 meters), making it ideal for demanding dives. Its robustness, even at great depths, is emphasized by a helium valve integrated into the case at 10 o'clock. This fulfils the requirements for deep divers in hyperbaric chambers and protects the watch from damage during the decompression phase. The AQUASPHERE FreeFall Blue is therefore the ideal companion for anyone who wants to explore the depths. A crown protector offers additional security for the screw-in crown and the sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inside en-sures maximum protection against scratches from above.
Not only the hands, appliqués and the number 12 on the dial are coated with Super-LumiNova® C1. The numerals, index lines and the triangle on the ceramic bezel are also coated with lumi-nous material so that divers can quickly read important infor-mation even in difficult lighting conditions. A bar has been integrated into the hour hand to clearly distin-guish it from the minute hand and the tip of the second hand has been painted red for better legibility. The rehaut on the edge of the dial enables a more precise reading of the seconds.
The Hanhart standard with regard to the accuracy of the watches is as unique as the watches themselves. Each individual move-ment is tested and adjusted by excellently trained watchmakers at the Hanhart manufactory in Gütenbach. The Hanhart specifi-cations for rate accuracy are 0 to +8 seconds per day on average over 6 positions. This corresponds to the same deviation as +-4 seconds, but Hanhart does not allow a minus second in the main positions. The German virtue of punctuality dictates that wearers of Hanhart watches should not be late because of the timekeep-ing device on their wrist. In addition, a maximum delta of 10 sec-onds is permitted between the positions.
